Job Summary
The Monument Workshop at the University of Kentucky [“Workshop”] seeks a highly-motivated and detail-oriented lawyer with the ability to engage in strategic thinking, to independently assess and analyze legal problems, and to engage in legal research related to interdisciplinary monument projects as the Monument Workshop Legal Director. The full-time Monument Workshop Legal Director, a new position with the organization, will be responsible for managing the legal issues related to the Workshop, including supervising the work and research of law students, and serving as the primary point of contact with local government and community group partners of the Workshop. The Monument Workshop Legal Director will also prepare and present educational materials related to the specific legal aspects of Workshop projects, potential future Workshop initiatives, and potential Workshop suggestions for legal or regulatory reform.
