Position Overview
The School of Engineering Dean’s Office is seeking a non-Engineering student to provide office support as outlined below.
Job Description
100% - The student assistant will work in the Engineering Dean’s Office in Eaton Hall, Room 1. Primary focus will be reception duties. Other tasks include sorting mail, scanning, and helping with events.
Required Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook Graphics experience Regular use of discretion in handling confidential information Exceptional communication skills as evidenced in application materials Reliable and able to work independently **During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).**
Preferred Qualifications
Event planning experience Prior office and customer service experience

Work Schedule
Able to work 10 to 12 hours per week. Availability between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Hours can be flexible and arranged around the student's class schedule. Some evening and weekend hours are possible.
