You will provide helpful and friendly assistance to library users at the service desk while answering questions, checking out materials, and assisting users to place online requests for materials. You will also provide directional guidance, retrieve requested items from the shelving area, and re-shelve returns. Watson Library & Map Library student assistants will also participate in projects and tasks to keep the library organized and accessible to users, as well as other activities in support of Watson operations, which can vary from technology support to setup and teardown for events in public areas.
