Minimum Starting Salary: $33.33 per hour / 7.5 hour work day

Summary:
Serves as data analyst and IT project manager for the Office of Records and Registration. Creates, compiles from numerous sources, and distributes applicant and student data reports related to enrollment and retention. Explores new methods for delivering and visualizing data. Assists with the administration of information systems which include the CRM and SIS. Serves as IT project manager for various initiatives, including interfacing with other campus IT groups and external vendors.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as IT project management lead for various Enrollment and Retention Management initiatives, including the CRM, SIS, Degree Audit System, and other systems as needed. Make recommendations for system enhancement projects and prioritize, plan, test, and implement such projects.
  • Create, analyze, and distribute data from various sources on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis. Includes the necessary gathering of data from various sources and the utilization of reporting systems and SQ to build reports and manage relational databases.
  • Collaborate on CRM and SIS software implementation and maintenance, including training and user support for various campus users. Communicate enhancements and software changes to campus constituents and work closely with the Registrar and other parties related to IT decision-making.
  • Create data access methods, file structures, troubleshoots problems, and validates data. Monitors all interfaces related to the transference of data between various systems. Develop and monitor protocols for access to systems, working with the appropriate individuals to ensure compliance with all security guidelines. Provides guidance and support to Registrar and the Enrollment and Retention Management leadership as needed, especially related to data analysis to be used in enrollment and retention decision-making.
  • Create and maintain documentation to support IT functions. Review and supplement documentation provided by vendors. Maintains a production calendar of all applicable technical tasks. Develop regular implementation and testing plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate new software products/vendors that are available to enhance business processes and provide feedback and recommendations for new product development and implementation. Advises Registrar and Enrollment and Retention Management leadership on software products to enhance current business functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories:
A. College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
 Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
 Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
B. Work experience in IT-related functions, such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.

Specialty Factors:
Minimum of 1 year of experience using Excel and SQL

Preferred Qualifications:
Business Intelligence, HTML, Tableau, Slate, Banner, XML, and Degree Audit System experience preferred. Competent interpersonal communication skills, project tracking, experience with data visualization tools and editing/designing websites is also preferred. The successful candidate must exercise initiative, independence, and maturity and should require limited supervisory intervention. Candidate must work effectively with a variety of administrative units, as well as students, faculty, and staff of diverse backgrounds to ensure services are developed and delivered with appropriate input from all interested parties.
