The ChildrensEnvironmental Health Initiative in the Department of Pediatrics at theUniversity of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Research Specialist (ProjectCoordinator) to join our team.
This position is based within the ChildrensEnvironmental Health Initiative at the University of Illinois Chicago andcontributes to the design and delivery of research projects and communicationof results to multiple external audiences. The person in this positioncollaborates with researchers to develop and execute research projects andinterpret research results. Performs complex data collection, implements studymethods, drafts text for manuscripts and grant proposals, and serves as generalresearch manager.
Research
Collaborate with Principal Investigator and researchers to develop objectives and design of research projects and proposals.
Formulate and conduct research studies and analyses. Performs complex data collection and study methods. Analyze and evaluate research results.
Develop and track required IRB protocols.
Monitor project developments on an ongoing basis. Propose and implement changes as needed.
Communication
Contribute material, prepare results, and assist in the writing of research findings for publications, papers, presentations, grants, and lay communication.
Assist principal investigator in grant and manuscript submission.
Research Group Management
Serve as a resource to entire CEHI team.
Oversee general research operations including support of human resources and financial management functions of the CEHI team.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
