Assisting in Video Production and Digital Sigange services, VPDS, requested by the University community. Work with full-time VPDS staff as a production assistant, camera operator, audio assistant and editor as needed on both a team and individual basis. Will be required to take direction from full-time VPDS staff and at times work independently on their own, completing assigned production, digital signage and post-production duties as assigned.

Duties

• Production assistant – both studio and field-based
• Video Camera operation – both studio and field-based
• Campus event video documentation and recordings (both single-camera and multi-camera)
• Video Post-Production – Using Adobe Premiere and Avid Media Composer
• Assistance with various UHD Digital Signage duties
• Assistance with Video Graphics – using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects
• Campus event audio support

• Must be able to work both as a team and as an individual contributor
• Must be a motivated, self-directed worker and can work without supervision
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures

Work Hours

• Must be willing to work nights and weekends up to 18 hours a week
• Schedule may vary from week to week during the semester

Physical Demands: This job may include ladder climbing and/or lifting or pushing a cart up to 50 pounds

Marginal Functions: Performs all other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in any of the following: graphic design, video editing, photography, audio technician, and/or camera operating
• Demonstrated skills in visual composition, and visual grammar, and be intuitive in the video production medium
