Bentonville and Campus Snapshot

The primary UHP office is located in Bentonville, which the Wall Street Journal claimed as the ‘New Capital of Cool’ in a 2023 article. Sitting outside of town, our 500-acre campus located at the foot of the Ozark Mountains combines an uplifting natural setting with world-class training facilities, dedicated classroom space, hiking trails, modern living spaces, and health-forward kitchen to provide students with an optimal learning and living environment.

Role Overview

The Admissions Director is a critical role responsible for driving enrollment and revenue growth for our Veteran-focused vocational training school. This position will lead all aspects of the admissions process, from developing compelling marketing campaigns to processing enrollments and financial aid packages. The Admissions Director is also a collaborator, responsible for communicating and coordinating across the team to effectively plan and deliver a world-class experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in admissions and enrollment management, familiarity with GI Bill processing, and a passion for helping veterans thrive in all aspects of their lives.

Responsibilites include; but are not limited to:

Marketing and Recruitment:

  • Collaborate on developing innovative marketing strategies for Veteran and military communities.
  • Develop targeted advertising campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and community outreach.
  • Foster relationships with military organizations, veteran service centers, and transition assistance programs to promote our programs.
  • Represent the school at recruitment events, career fairs, and information sessions.

Admissions Management:

  • Oversee the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
  • Develop an admissions team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze admissions data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and accreditation standards.

Veteran Services and GI Bill Expertise:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the GI Bill and other veteran education benefits.
  • Assist prospective students in navigating the process for using GI Bill benefits.
  • Work to ensure seamless processing of veteran education benefits.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in regulations and policies related to veteran education benefits.

Enrollment and Financial Aid:

  • Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their fit for our programs.
  • Guide applicants through the enrollment process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
  • Collaborate with the financial aid office to facilitate the processing of financial aid applications and funding sources.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with applicants throughout the enrollment process.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with UHP staff and executive leadership to make informed decisions regarding acceptance, waitlisting, or prioritization of applicants based on established criteria and institutional priorities.
  • Identify and disseminate areas for process improvement throughout the recruitment funnel, implementing initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the admissions process.
  • Engage faculty members and leadership in the admissions process by involving them in recruitment events, online messaging, and student interviews. Highlight faculty expertise and involvement in academic programs to prospective students.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership to provide updates on admissions trends, enrollment projections, and strategic initiatives related to student recruitment and retention.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or enrollment in an educational or vocational training setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful recruiting campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of veteran education benefits, particularly the GI Bill.
  • Proficiency with school-management software, CRM tools, and marketing platforms.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified as a School Certifying Official (SCO) with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Prior experience in the military or working with veteran organizations.
  • Knowledge of vocational training programs and industry certifications.

Role Overview

  • UHP offers a competitive salary and benefits including: Paid time off, Health insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, 401(k), and equity participation.
  • Expectation is to fill this position before May 1st, 2024 with interviews scheduling for mid-late April.
