The Department of Human Nutrition, Food and Animal Sciences (HNFAS) at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa (UHM) invites applicants for a tenure track position in livestock at the Assistant Extension Agent level beginning approximately June 1, 2024.
The department seeks candidates whose service is centered on cooperative extension education and outreach for livestock and poultry production in Maui County. Candidates with multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary experience in large and small animal production are encouraged to apply. The department is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students, industry and government stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, based in the County of Maui, minimizing barriers, and increasing equity and completion rates among different demographics.
