Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees (i.e. paid holidays/leave). Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part-time employees. Working Title: Social Capital Project Coordinator Position Number: ****Casual HireHiring Unit: OVPAS/Hawaii P-20 Partnerships for Education Location: All islands Date Posted: May 9, 2024 Closing Date: May 14, 2024 11:59pm HST Salary: $4,500 flat rate Schedule: Up to 15 hours per week Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Funding: TrustDuties and Responsibilities: Plans, coordinates, and implements social capital building lessons and opportunities for studentsOversees the development of the social capital curriculum and reviews data for improvementPlans and aligns social capital curriculum around social capital building events to be executed over the course of one school yearServes as a resource to the school staff regarding social capital instruction and the needs of studentsFacilitate progress monitoring and support for teachers creating social capital curriculum through individual and small group gatheringsPrepare progress reports and attend monitoring meetings as neededOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications: Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, Planning and/or Policy, Curriculum Studies, or related field and 3 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experienceExperience working on collaborative projects with faculty and staff in K-12 and/or higher education.Experience working knowledge of education standards and assessmentsExperience in teaching, curriculum development, and/or professional development at the secondary or postsecondary levelExperience managing a team and coordinating assignmentsExperience analyzing data and developing reportsDesired Qualifications: Progressively responsible experience in designing and implementing curriculum in a secondary settingDemonstrated knowledge of Career & Technical Education pathways and workforce development conceptsEvidence of self-motivation, creativity, and resourcefulnessExperience managing educational initiatives in HawaiiTo Apply: Click on the "Apply" button on the top right corner of the screen to complete an application and attach required documents.
