Position Summary | This position will serve as the research technician in the lab of Dr. Anumantha G Kanthasamy in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology. This position will work with graduate students and other senior research personnel. The research lab conducts NIH-funded basic research pertaining to neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory mechanisms in cell culture and preclinical mouse models of Parkinson's disease and related neurological disorders. The lab's translational research focuses on biomarker discovery in human samples and testing novel therapeutics in preclinical animal models. Responsibilities of this position will include multiple aspects of scientific research including experimental design and execution, assay optimization and validation, data collection, and project management. The employee will perform multiple behavioral, neurobiochemical and histological assays. |
