Job Summary:

Join the Colorado School of Public Health as a Project Coordinator. This position is a key member of the school’s Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center (RM-PHTC) and will coordinate multi-faceted training projects, serving as a liaison between external funders and development partners with the RM-PHTC internal training development and operations team.

This position will communicate effectively and proactively with funders and external development partners to gain a full understanding of the scope and expectations of the training needs, timeline, and approval process. This individual will also participate in external partner meetings and internal RM-PHTC planning meetings, provide email/phone updates to external partners, provide supplemental research on public health topics, help compile and organize training content from subject matter experts, and provide support to the Operations Manager when creating project proposals and/or completing project reports.

The Project Coordinator will be part of a fast-paced workplace and diverse multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is highly organized and adept at relationship building, proactive communication, managing timelines, researching and synthesizing information, and managing multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary communicator between external funders, development partners, and the RM-PHTC on selected training development projects.
  • Provide effective and proactive communication between funder/development partners and the RM-PHTC, ensuring all parts of an assigned project are progressing according to predetermined timelines and deliverable dates.
  • Coordinate 2-5 exhibit opportunities for the Public Health Training Center Network (PHTCN) at national conferences each year.
  • Lead, organize, and staff conferences (e.g. exhibitor registration, staffing recruitment and schedules, supply orders, material coordination, booth setup and tear down, etc.).
  • Work with subject matter experts for content development and support.
  • Research, compile, and organize training content; gather data on self-paced live trainings.
  • Effectively communicate with and convey information to RM-PHTC staff.
  • This is a full-time position and reports to the RM-PHTC Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, public health, public administration, social science, liberal arts, communications, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • One (1) year of professional level experience building and maintaining professional relationships, coordinating projects, compiling information on public health topics, and/or working with subject matter experts to develop trainings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google drive.
  • Experience in a role requiring outstanding communication and relationship building skills.
  • Experience with database management.
  • Experience with online survey platforms.

Anticipated Salary Range:

The starting target salary for this position has been established as $54,500 - $60,000.

The above salary represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
