The Facilities Services Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of State Classified Custodian I. The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive cleaning and support services for UCCS buildings. Building categories include academic, non-academic, and administrative. Comprehensive cleaning areas include, but are not limited to offices, classrooms, research laboratories, restrooms, health / wellness spaces, recreation spaces, resident halls, and general interior and exterior public areas. Position also includes custodial support for campus scheduled and unscheduled functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to kneel, crouch, crawl, stoop, and reach. Tasks may involve ascending or descending and maintaining balance. The employee will be exposed to hazards that include but are not limited to proximity to mechanical parts, exposure to electric shock, working high exposed places, and exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Employee may also face exposure infectious materials/human blood or bodily fluids. Tasks may involve exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and or up to 20lbs of force frequently and or up to 10lbs of force constantly to move objects.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions and meet the physical and environment demands described satisfactorily.
