Job Summary
The Campus Controller’s Office at CU Boulder welcomes applications for a Technical Operations Accountant! This part-time temporary position works closely with Technical Operations accountants to complete requests to create and modify chartfields (the accounting structure within PeopleSoft Finance). Responsibilities will include review, creation, and modification of programs, projects, speedtypes, and subclasses within the PeopleSoft Finance System.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Chartfield Requests
- Review chartfield requests, and accurately and timely create and modify chartfields, such as programs, speedtypes, and subclasses, within the Finance System.
Other Duties
- Other duties as assigned, such as managing accounting email, testing finance system software, formatting Excel spreadsheets, and attending team meetings.
What You Should Know
This is a temporary, part-time position anticipated to last 9 months, working remotely.
What We Can Offer
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour.
Benefits
Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in any field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
What You Will Need
- Attention to detail and the ability to recognize and question unusual situations.
- The ability to prioritize and use sound judgment to meet set timelines and work independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn and use new software systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Familiarity/knowledge of PeopleSoft Finance and its accounting structure - speedtypes, funds, orgs, programs/projects, subclasses, and account codes.
- Familiarity or experience with governmental/fund accounting.
- Experience working in higher education.
