• This position is to support the development of in situ atmospheric instrumentation for an ultra-long duration super pressure balloon campaign.
• The candidate will work with scientists and students to develop embedded microcontroller code (C ) and ground support code (Python) for command and control of instrumentation aboard CNES operated super pressure balloon gondolas.

• Due to US Export Control restrictions, only US Citizen or Permanent Residents may apply.
• This is a temporary, hourly position, and does not include benefits.

• $75.00 per hour.

• The candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or software engineering.
• The candidate should have extensive direct experience with atmospheric instrumentation, stratospheric measurements, and the operation of high-altitude balloon systems.
• The candidate must be willing and able to work in remote field sites and under difficult environmental conditions.

• Familiarity with electrical test and measurement, and CAD based electrical and mechanical design.
