Job Summary:

The Research Specialists support the research efforts of the university and research laboratory.

Join a world-renowned research team and make a significant contribution to the field of bladder research. As a Research Specialist the Meeks Lab, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects using cutting-edge bioinformatics techniques. You will also have the chance to collaborate with world-renowned researchers and make a real difference in the lives of patients.

Specific Responsibilities:

* Conduct research on a variety of bladder research projects

* Develop bioinformatics tools and pipelines

* Participate in lab meetings and discussions

* Analyze, interpret, summarize, and compile data

* Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, submissions, publications, and presentations

* Serve as PI for certain grants as approved by supervising member of the Professorial Series

* Develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols

* Contribute to the overall success of the lab

Minimum Qualifications:

* PhD in bioinformatics, biology, or a related field

* Strong research skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong programming skills in R, Python, or a similar language

* Experience with a variety of bioinformatics tools and databases
