SAVE (Sexual Awareness & Violence Education) Counselor (Part-Time)

The University of Charleston’s SAVE Program seeks candidates for a part-time position providing counseling and outreach services to UC students who have experienced domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, and/or stalking. The successful candidate will provide individual counseling, as well as referrals to outside community agencies, advocates, psychiatric, and/or medical personnel. This position is funded by the Department of Justice and Office on Violence Against Women’s Grant to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus. This position will work closely with the Counseling Department and report to the SAVE Project Director.
The position is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice until September 30, 2025, and therefore contingent on the renewal of the award. Although the position is paid for with federal funds, the individual will be governed by University of Charleston policies and procedures.

Pay Range: $25-$35/hour, depending on previous experience.
