The Opportunity :
The University of Central Florida is actively seeking a qualified Facilities Project Manager II. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing design and construction efforts to ensure the successful completion of minor projects in alignment with the University's schedule, program, and budget. This role involves leading project development, managing organization, scheduling, and implementation, and representing section leadership as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of projects, including contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Support campus sustainability efforts related to new construction and renovation projects.
  • Provide technical direction to address deficiencies in design or implementation and monitor final resolution.
  • Inspect and review projects to ensure compliance with contract documents, building/safety codes, and regulations.
  • Develop, review, and submit budget estimates and cost-tracking reports.
  • Identify potential issues affecting financial performance or quality.
  • Review change orders, additional service proposals, and negotiate contractual agreements.
  • Develop and manage project schedules and purchasing strategies.
  • Manage campus construction efforts in collaboration with departments and facilities staff.
  • Ensure the university's standards and needs are met by project documents.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple difficult and complex minor projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent computer software skills, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

Copy of unofficial college transcript (if applicable).

Position requires a valid Class E driver's license, involving occasional travel for University business.
