This position directly reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services and serves as a key member of the admissions leadership team. This position assists with all aspects of the undergraduate recruitment process, including recruitment strategies and implementation of on and off-campus programming and initiatives within individual territories. This position supervises all undergraduate recruitment personnel within the Admissions Department, including admission counselors and assistant directors.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises all recruitment personnel
- Develops and implements policies, procedures, and training for all recruitment staff
- Oversees the Assistant Director of Campus Preview Days and assists with the development, execution, and reporting of all preview day events
- Oversees the Assistant Director of Campus Tours and assists with the continuation of daily tour operations and the Welcome Center management
- Supports the oversight of the UCA Ambassador program
- Disseminates and interprets state and institutional regulations, policies, and procedures regarding admissions
- Develops recruitment goals, objectives, and strategies for all designated territories
- Assists in the development and expansion of the institutional CRM to ensure effective recruitment data are generated and leveraged appropriately
- Assists in the development, maintenance, and execution of the departments’ communication, marketing and campaign plans for all target audiences
- Contributes to annual planning and evaluation of recruitment and admission activities
- Develops and monitors statistical reports to evaluate and enhance recruitment strategies within Arkansas, in contiguous states, and nationally
- Presents workshops and/or training opportunities to educate individuals on admissions/recruitment initiatives
- Presents to various constituencies to promote the University
- Travels on behalf of the University for recruitment and other related activities
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and/or Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in Higher Education
- Demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively with other personnel
- Well-developed capabilities in strategic planning, problem-solving, attention to detail, and task completion
- Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education or related field
- Experience working in university admissions or student services
- Proven personal record of successful recruitment strategies
- Knowledge of strategic student recruitment, prospect management processes, and metrical evaluations as they relate to university recruitment
- Extensive knowledge in student management software, particularly Slate
- Management experience with a diverse range of employees in terms of position titles and backgrounds
- Experience in event planning and management
