Utilizes a team based approach to delivering patient care services. Salary Range: Hourly RateMinimum$23.02Midpoint$25.84Maximum $28.65 Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Bilingual in English and Spanish Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Understanding of medical terminology Ability to work well in a constantly changing environment Ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate of Competency / Recognition in Medical Assisting Clinical / Back Office BLS certification upon hire Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting Flexibility to work variable shifts, including occasional weekends or holidays Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Phlebotomy certification Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
