University of California, Riverside is Hiring a Basic Needs Resource Specialist Near Oakland, CA

The Basic Needs Resource Specialist provides leadership, guidance, and support to students experiencing basic needs crises, including food, housing, and financial challenges. The responsibilities of this position require comprehensive expertise in student support and crisis management. A primary function of the Basic Needs Resource Specialist is to facilitate support to students in distress due to basic needs concerns by providing crisis resolution, as well as identifying a short and long-term plan to address students' basic needs and insecurities. The Basic Needs Resource Specialist will interface and collaborate with various campus departments, including, but not limited to, the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office, Ethnic and Gender Centers, and departments under the Health Wellness and Safety Division. The Basic Needs Resource Specialist will work independently under the general supervision of the Basic Needs Director.
Please Note: This is a two-year contract position with the possibility of an extension depending on funding.
The salary range for the position is $54,200.00 - $93,200.00 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $56,000.00 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California Vaccination Program Policy.
