This position is part of the Haas Staffing HR team and partners with Campus Regional Services and People and Culture to support the execution of HR policies, labor contract, programs and procedures related to recruitment, compensation, employee relations, labor relations, and other Staffing-related HR matters.

Responsibilities
Applies professional HR concepts when counseling employees concerning work-related issues of moderate scope and complexity, including conducting termination interviews.
Provides guidance to supervisors and managers in processing compensation, training, and Achieve Together tracking.
Serve as a liaison with Berkeley Regional Services (BRS), monitor Service Now cases from initial ticket creation through close-out; provide consultative services regarding student hiring, separations, position management updates, etc. Creates and designs tools for position management and position financial management. Collaborates and meets with the Finance team to lead, educate, and troubleshoot regarding internal processes. Enterprise (UC Path) reporting including staff rosters, FTE reports, date range data, exit data, data searches, demographic data, etc. Manage Haas' contingent workforce, to ensure appropriate and time-sensitive appointment changes on UCPath, which directly impact staff compensation, access to systems, unit operations, etc.
Maintain records for Staffing HR reporting requirements.
Manages confidential human resources information such as FTE tracking, staff experience, onboarding, staff engagement, compensation, and separation data.
Under general supervision provides advice and counsel to client groups according to established human resources policies and procedures.
Manages sensitive and confidential information and effectively and collaboratively interacts with client groups.
Under general supervision, develops professional development tracking systems and reports for client groups.
Conducts HR trends analyses and helps develop resulting recommendations.
Participate in program planning, development and operations. Coordinate, leads, and/or participate in committees and working groups.
Serve as coordinator for Haas Staff Recognition Programs (e.g., Star, HEART, Achievement); Coordinate evaluation of recognition program nominations with associated committees; ensure compliance with university policy; maintain records; monitor budget; manage communications. Participates in the design and drafting of organizational website content; drafts communications and correspondence to organizational constituents

Required Qualifications
Utilizes analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations; demonstrates organizational skills and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of other areas of HR. Knowledge of and/or can quickly learn organizational policies and procedures and knowledge of functional area. Basic knowledge of human resources policies and programs, and how they affect other organizational policies and procedures. Knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and/or other related business software programs and systems. Proficient in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing and in integrating information in the completion of assignments. Demonstrated ability to handle difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a desire to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to establish and maintain positive & professional working relationships with colleagues, students and team members. Exemplifies Haas' four Defining Leadership Principles: (1) Question the status quo; (2) Confidence without attitude; (3) Students always; and (4) Beyond yourself. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Salary & Benefits
This is a 100% full-time (40 hrs a week) non-exempt position. Hourly pay is commensurate with experience up to $40.51. Annual rate is up to $84,600.00.
