Summary of Job Duties:The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients in our Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Walker Family Clinic. The RN will primarily provide support for the physicians and act as a liaison between the patient, the front office staff, and the physicians.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arkansas
Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic, and accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years of Registered Nurse experience
Current BLS

Responsibilities:
Implements Plan of Care (POC) using an approach that is interdisciplinary and patient and family centered.
Effectively collaborates and communicates with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders.
Communicates care appropriately through documentation in the medical record.
Reports variances in care/ systems/ processes through the appropriate means.
Acts as a resource/support to others in the performance of duties.
Demonstrates a commitment to the personal and professional development of other UAMS employees.
Participates in recruitment/retention of staff.
Facilitates development and implementation of nursing practice standards that are evidence-based and in compliance with ANA standards.
Maintains clinical competencies specific to area of practice/ responsibility
May perform other duties as assigned.
