Department: Financial Aid Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Financial Aid Analyst works under the supervision of the Director of Financial Aid. This position is governed by federal and state regulations and institutional policy. SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: Financial Aid Advising o Processes student aid applications as directed. Determines financial need as directed. o Performs verification and other flags of ISIR information in the awarding process. o Meets with students and parents concerning financial aid processes and related o Assists in compiling federal financial aid reports and rosters, attends workshops/training to keep abreast of new regulations, prepares award offers for students receiving financial aid, disburses financial aid, records and submits award information to the Student Accounts Office. o Processes downloads from the SAIG mailbox to receive student FAFSA data and other information from the DOE. o Conducts events such as Financial Aid workshops and Information Sessions that the UACCM Financial Aid Office are responsible for providing. Title IV Funding Responsibilities – Federal Pell Grant Program o Submits Title IV funding requests and verifies funding appropriation levels for the Federal Pell Grant program. o Maintains electronic communications with DOE. o Monitors attendance requirements for Federal Pell Grant recipients. o Determines federal repay amounts and monitors the return of these funds to ensure compliance with the federal policies. o Reconciles Federal Pell Grant funds monthly and coordinates with the Student Accounts Office to ensure cash balances match and reports end of year cash balances in COD. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree with a major in general business or related field One year of practical work experience in processing federal student financial aid or related area. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon recommendation and approval by the Chancellor.
