Department: Dental Hygiene Department's Website: uafs.edu Summary of Job Duties: The College of Health Education and Human Sciences recognizes that its programs and faculty are diverse and, therefore, each individual faculty member’s workload responsibilities vary. Thus, department chairs, program directors, and mentors (when appropriate) will work with each faculty member annually. This is a 9-month faculty position. Responsibilities include classroom, clinical, and laboratory teaching; student advising and recruiting; annual evaluations and service to the college. The position reports directly to the Dental Hygiene Executive Director Qualifications: Required Education and/or Work Experience: Must possess a masters or higher degree in dental hygiene or related field. Must be a graduate from a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Must have a minimum of two years’ clinical experience. Must hold a current unencumbered RDH license with a local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certificate. Must be current in CPR and hold an Arkansas state license or be eligible to obtain an Arkansas RDH license. Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Hold a Master’s degree or higher in dental hygiene or related field or be currently enrolled in a Master’s program.
