Overview:Wonderview Elementary is looking for an upper elementary teacher that has a strong literacy background.Responsibilities:Develop and implement engaging literacy lessons that align with curriculum standards that follow our HQIM.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in the classroom.Assess student progress through various formative and summative assessments.Provide feedback to students to support their growth as readers and writers.Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and projects.Communicate regularly with parents to share student progress and discuss strategies for improvement.Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.Stay current on best practices in literacy instruction (Science of Reading) and participate in professional development opportunities.Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.Valid/current teaching certification in Elementary Education.Strong knowledge of literacy instruction and best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Experience working with upper elementary students is preferred.
