Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm

Job Summary: The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the Ph.D. or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee.

Additional Department Summary: Leads upgrade and operation of existing tip-enhanced spectroscopy setups. Leads the acquisition and analysis of sub-wavelength spectra of isolated chains and isolated aggregates in order to unveil the importance of short- and long-range Coulombic interactions in formation/stability of aggregates and aggregate hybrids.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Physics.
Candidates will need to have completed their Ph.D. or have it completed by the start of employment. Skills and Knowledge: Active and self-motivated. Background in optics (focus on tip-enhanced spectroscopy), soft- and condensed-matter physics (focus on polymeric and porphyrinic structures).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in time- and polarization resolved spectroscopies. Previous Post-doc experience in tip-enhanced Raman and Photoluminescence spectroscopy is highly desired.
