The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Chief CRNA Nursing Supervisor. The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in assigned areas based on individual patient needs and medical plans and in accordance with established nursing standards and administrative policy. The RN utilizes the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN communicates with physicians and other members of the health care team to coordinate quality patient care. The RN participates in maintaining unit organization. The RN participates in staff development conferences and programs. The RN guides and teaches auxiliary personnel and assists in the orientation of new staff members. The RN performs other related duties as necessary. Participates on teams created to improve outcome quality through process improvement and team technologies.
