University Medical Center of El Paso is Hiring a Dir. Mammography Operations Near El Paso, TX

Job Summary

Under general direction, plans, organizes, directs the operation of Mammography Operations. Recommends, develops, implements, and evaluates goals, objectives, policies, and procedures related to Mammography. Provides staff support to higher-level management. Selects, trains, and supervises subordinate clinical, technical, and clerical staff. Assists with preparation and maintains department budgets. Directs the Mammography regulatory compliance program. Leads in the development and monitoring of department specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in the Mammography Department. Collaborates with Medical Director of Mammography and Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services in achievement of departmental goals.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Work Experience

Eight years of experience in mammography procedures. Five years of management experience required.

License/Registration/Certification:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Mammography (M) required.

Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT) required.

Current CPR Certification required.

Education and Training:

Associate's degree of Applied Sciences in Radiology required.

Master’s degree in related field required.

  8. Organize, direct, coordinate and evaluate specialized diagnostic imaging to ensure quality patient diagnosis and care that conforms with prescribed standards and regulations.
  9. Analyze service delivery problems accurately, develop recommendations and take appropriate action to resolve them
  10. Develop, evaluate, and maintain accurate record-keeping systems, prepare complex and detailed written reports, procedures, and contracts
  11. Communicate effectively with administrative, medical, professional, and clinical staff and citizen groups
  12. Work cooperatively with other University Medical Center and County departments, public and private organizations, including public and private medical providers
  13. Train staff and coordinate activities of contractors, volunteer groups and staff, as appropriate
  14. Work tactfully, sympathetically, and effectively with various types and conditions of patients.
