Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Licensed Professional, performs routine patient care activities such as preparing patients for therapy treatments, assisting during administration of treatments and giving routine treatments as assigned.
Skills
1. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
2. Ability to read, write and understand English and to perform basic mathematics.
3. Good interpersonal skills in view of frequent interaction with patients, visitors and staff.
4. Ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment.
5. As applicable, knowledge of pool tools and equipment, related to the maintenance of pool.
6. As applicable, knowledge of water chemistry, pool chemicals and standards required to maintain the safety and cleanliness quality of the pool water.
Work Experience
None.
License/Registration/Certification
Current CPR training required.
Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Enrolled in a Post Graduate Program in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy required.
Second or third year post graduate students preferred.
When applicable, incumbent may require training related to the utilization of pool chemicals, equipment and safety standards for the performance of regular maintenance and cleaning of the pool.
