As the Director you are responsible for the strategic oversight, leadership and management of inpatient and outpatient pediatric and adult audio logy services.

• Work collaboratively with the Chairman, Clinical Directors and Section Heads at CMC and Ambulatory Care sites.
• Responsible for management of a continuum of audio logy services that include the prevention, identification, diagnosis, consultation and treatment of patients with hearing or communication impairments.
• Responsible for collaborating with the Adult and Pediatric Doctors to ensure optimal levels and continuous improvement of clinical and service quality.
• Developing and leading a strategic and operational focus on volume growth and enhanced patient care deliverables in collaboration with leadership within UHCMC and Ambulatory sites.
• Ensure profitability through revenue and expense management. Ensure operations function cost effectiveness while providing quality service by planning, proposing and managing the capital and operating budgets.
• Drive employee engagement through strong team support and leadership capacity of staff and managers.
• Oversee operations and lead and develop the staff; build strong teams; and allocate resources effectively.

Education/Expertise:

 Masters degree required.

Doctorate in Audiology(PhD or Clinical Doctorate) highly desired

Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT):

Licensed by the State of Ohio to practice Audiology

Experience & Knowledge: 

Requires fundamental knowledge and the ability to apply the principles and practices related to Audiology, appropriate to the developmental/chronological age of patients on caseload. Minimum of 7 years experience in a medical setting with adult and pediatric patients, hearing aids, OAEs, ENGs, and evoked response audiometry. Cochlear implant experience is desirable. Previous Supervisory experience is desirable.
