The High School Teacher Intern will complete child care activities and provide support as delegated by Teachers:

• Class Procedures
  • Interact with students to promote learning through play
  • Maintain a safe, warm, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Greet families and children
  • Exhibit age appropriate expectations
  • Assist teacher with implementation of classroom activities and daily schedule
  • Actively supervise and engage with students
  • Fill in daily logs
  • Record meal counts
  • Cut food as needed to developmentally appropriate size
  • Use a quiet calm voice during nap
  • Promote a cooperative team effort and supportive attitude towards co-workers
• Floating Rounds
  • Cover for staff breaks
  • Ask if supplies are needed
  • Ask how you can help
  • Wipe noses
  • Wash hands
• Restock
  • Diapering supplies
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Class materials
• Clean and sanitize
  • High touch point areas
  • Class materials
  • Indoor play equipment
  • Shared spaces/equipment
  • Tables before and after meals
• Assist in the office
  • File paperwork under direction of Administrative Assistant
