Position Summary
To administer the processing and distribution of institutional, federal, and state financial aid funds. This position is the Coordinator for Federal Work-Study Program. This position also manages the External Scholarships received by the University. Additionally, this person oversees the initial financial aid packaging for all transfer students.
This Coordinator position handles paperwork/payroll for all UDM students working in the Work-Study, Non-Work-Study and Assistantship positional (TA’s, RA’s, Grad Assistants, etc.). The Coordinator is responsible for job development and visiting off-campus work sites; develop/maintain student employment manual, evaluation process for incremental increases and other materials as necessary. Per federal regulations must track student work-study earnings to ensure they do not over-work their awarded allocation. Coordinator must comply with federal/state work-study regulations. Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a college degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of six months to two years.
Banner experience preferred; Microsoft Suite; able to obtain credentials for federal data bases such as COD, CPS and NSLDS.
Fluency in a second language such as Arabic or Spanish.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to multi-task, excellent customer service and communication skills necessary. Must be detail oriented. Ability to maintain calmness and composure when confronted by frustrating situations.
Physical Requirements
Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).
Work Environment
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
