Position Information
Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Analyst performs analysis, reporting and auditing for University Extension. Extracts data from UCR and Extension systems to develop reports for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and forecasting. Develops new reports and audits financial data to measure against organizational KPIs. At budget managers' requests, provides data and reports to assist in budget management. Assists with a variety of financial services, including reconciling. Works to resolve financial related problems, performing analysis, interpreting policy and providing recommendations. Works cross functionally in workgroups to perform analysis and process improvement.
The full salary range for the Financial Analyst is $24.95 - $42.96 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $24.95 - $29.45 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is ten weeks after their first date of employment.

Intermediate knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database software.
Working knowledge of financial processes, policies and procedures. Preferred Qualifications
