JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Full-Time Counter Sales Associate to join our team at Universal Electric Supply. We are a distributor of electrical materials and lighting products that primarily serves electricians.

The Counter Sales Associate is a combination of Sales and Warehouse. You will be responsible for handling customer requests and supporting the sales team. You will also help with warehousing such as filling orders; maintaining shelves; and storing inventory.

This is a starting position, and all employees are encouraged to grow into more specialized roles such as switchgear sales; lighting sales; deliveries; or inventory management and purchasing.

Starting hourly rate: $23.00/hr with no experience (higher depending on experience). An increase in pay may potentially be evaluated after three months of employment.

EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn products and manufacturers

• Learn how to read customer orders; fill and check orders; and process returns

• Assist customers with over-the-counter and phone orders. Provide customer service

• Learn to use POS software to write quotations, invoices, and special orders

• Ability to work closely with a team. Flexibility to shift between team roles based on daily needs

• Maintain clean and organized aisles; restock inventory; label items; notify team of low inventory

• Assist with shipping and receiving processes as needed

• Be able to lift 50 lb

• Typical schedule is 8am-5pm

• Fluency in Spanish and/or Cantonese is preferred

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
