Job Description: Product Owner (Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Owner to join our team in the rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) charging industry. As the Product Owner for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), you will be responsible for driving the development and enhancement of our EV charging infrastructure. Your primary goal will be to create a user-centric and innovative experience for EVSE, ensuring seamless and convenient charging solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in the EV industry and shape the future of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for EVSE, aligned with the company's vision and business objectives.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including EV charging experts, software developers, UX/UI designers, and business teams, to gather and prioritize requirements for EVSE.
User-Centric Design: Ensure EVSE offers an intuitive and efficient user experience, incorporating user feedback, market research, and industry best practices.
Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain a product roadmap, outlining key features and enhancements for EVSE, considering business priorities, market trends, and customer needs.
Agile Product Development: Work closely with the development team in an Agile environment, defining user stories, maintaining the product backlog, and prioritizing sprint activities to ensure timely and quality product releases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, marketing, and customer support, to drive product development and ensure successful product launches.
Product Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse key product metrics, user feedback, and market trends to gain insights, identify areas of improvement, and make data-driven decisions for optimizing EVSE performance.
Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate the product vision, progress, and updates to internal stakeholders and senior management, fostering alignment and ensuring transparency.
Competitive Analysis: Stay abreast of the EV charging market landscape, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to identify potential product differentiators and innovative features.
Industry Advocacy: Act as a subject matter expert for the EVSE domain, attending industry events, participating in forums, and building relationships with key stakeholders to stay at the forefront of industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent); MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (4 years) as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in the technology or sustainable energy space.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable product features.
• Passion for user-centric design and experience in working closely with UX/UI designers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Results-driven mindset, with a track record of delivering successful products.
• Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies to derive actionable insights from user behaviour and product usage data.
• Understanding of the EV charging industry, including knowledge of charging infrastructure, industry standards, and EV driver behaviours.
• Knowledge of EVSE development frameworks, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Passion for sustainability and electric vehicles is a plus.
