The Technology Benefits Manager will report to the Executive Director of LTSS and assist the organization in meeting contract requirements related to Enabling Technology, Assistive Technology and Minor Home Modifications benefits. This role works closely with support and care coordination teams, utilization management teams and persons enrolled in CHOICES, ECF CHOICES and DIDD waivers who are supported by the organization.

Position in this function is responsible for implementing LTSS technology strategy, and provide guidance and support to internal staff, program enrollees, families and others around benefits and use of Assistive Technology, Enabling Technology and Minor Home Modifications benefits.

If you are located in Tennessee, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. *You will be required to attend on-site meetings at 10 Cadillac Dr, Brentwood, TN at least one day per month.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop processes for assisting care and support coordination (CC/SC) teams with assessments and recommendations for Assistive Technology (AT), Enabling Technology (ET) and Minor Home Modifications (MHM)
  • Provide support to CC/SC and IDD coordinators in identifying individuals who are interested and could possibly benefit from AT, ET or MHM
  • Develop processes for working with Provider Relations team as applicable for identificaiotn of providers/vendors, outreach, oversight and effectiveness of AT, ET and MHM implementations
  • Develop processes for working with utilization management team on appropriateness and necessity of AT, ET and MHM
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommend/ implement modifications related to the programs and processes as necessary
  • Develop and implement trainings for CC/SC teams, provider relations and utilization management teams, and others as applicable
  • Educate/train internal teams on the Enabling Technology First model and support organizational transition
  • Coordinating with Vendors keeping up to date on current and available supports and services
  • Review all CC/SC/IDD Coord completed screenings, as applicable
  • Support CC/SC, ET providers in developing individual ET plans
  • Review AT, ET and MHM benefits request
  • Coordinate with CC/SC in regular review of ET plans to assure ongoing effectiveness
  • Serve as resource to HCBS providers in AT and ET plan implementation and documentation
  • Develop system and track technology benefit usage for regular reporting and data mining
  • Develop maintenance plan for training solutions to ensure ongoing applicability/effectiveness of training (e.g., to account for potential changes to organizational structures, systems, processes, procedures, program rules or benefits)

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Candidate will possess or obtain within first 90 days of employment:
    • Certified Aging in Place Specialist credentials
    • Technology First Certification (The Enabling Technology Integration Specialist Certification)
  • 3 years of experience supporting the elderly and or persons with intellectual, developmental or physical disabilities
  • 3 years of leadership experience (e.g., Review work of others, serve as an expert in their field, serve as a mentor and leader, lead functional or segment teams or projects, Motivate and inspire team members)
  • 2 years of experience developing training for case managers and other clinical staff
  • 2 years of experience working in Medicaid programs
  • Proficient in Word, Power Point, Smartsheet and Excel
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Must attend on-site meetings at 10 Cadillac Dr, Brentwood, TN at least one day per month

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Assistive Technology Professional certification
  • Experience with Long-Term Services and Supports
  • Experience in Medicaid Managed Care
  • Experience working in proprietary software systems
