Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage US international tax compliance process, including project planning and staff management
• Manage quarterly US GAAP tax provision (quarter-close) process
• Manage quarterly and long-range effective tax rate forecasts, including data gathering, modeling, and briefing leaders on key outcomes
• Develop scenario models to brief senior tax leaders on potential impacts of tax controversy and legislative changes
• Work with staff to prepare responses to tax audit information request
• Work with staff to maintain tax attribute tracking systems
• Develop relationships with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Tax teams, both in the US and overseas, to enable tax reporting activities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or comparable education 
• 8 years of tax accounting experience, preferably with a Fortune 500 corporate tax or finance department or International CPA or Law firm
• Working knowledge of ASC-740 income tax accounting concepts
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA and/or Advanced Degree including JD, MBT, MBA, or equivalent
• Experience managing and developing people
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment 
• Proven attention to detail with solid organizational skills
• Proven solid communication and presentation skills
• Proven solid writing and quantitative skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
