Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret contracts to create billing and revenue rules within the PeopleSoft ERP
• Revenue – milestone set up & trigger when ready to recognize, push transactional billing to contracts for recognition
• Billing - milestone set up & trigger when ready to bill
• Review, analyze and validate billing data
• Generate and validate Invoices
• Work with Customer Service Managers/Operations/Finance to ensure accuracy
• Work with Cash Applications/Accounting/Client Service Managers 
• This individual should perform required tasks independently and seek support from manager for clarity as needed, as well as contribute in a team environment
• Provide backup as needed to team members
• Run Queries
• Credit rebills as needed to correct incorrect or missed billing

Additional Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with multiple departments (ex. Accounting, Collections, IT)
• Develop, document and maintain billing procedures
• Document and maintain appropriate internal controls
• Drive for improvements in customer satisfaction by striving for zero billing errors
• Suggest process improvements to manager
• Update Manager on business specific process changes that would impact procedural documents and assistance in the maintenance thereof
• Participate in various billing or special projects
• Keep all procedural documents current as process changes occur
• Participate in the training of new Billing Specialist team members
• Immediate, appropriate resolution of all issues preventing timely entering of information for proper billing
• Reporting billing issues to management, which were unresolved through the normal process
• Report any internal errors or issues that delay or cause incorrect billing
• Submission of appropriate paperwork to correct or update the billing of any assigned account
• Projects as required including user acceptance testing
• Provide requested information to CSM as needed

Required Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma / GED
• 2 years Accounts Receivable experience. 
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience researching and handling escalated situations
• Experience working in a fast – paced environment
• Experience developing and maintaining client relationships
• 18 years of age or older

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
