The Network Support Technician will be responsible for providing Level 1 support with routine IT maintenance including installation and configuring network software and hardware, and troubleshooting issues related to systems or software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answering all phone calls into the network line

• Answering any network related questions and availability to get tickets closed

• Opening Work-Orders for venders

• Pre-Configuring devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls)

• Bouncing Ports for Venders and Internal employees to resolve issues

• Configuring Phones in Cisco Call Manager

• Monitor and maintain service levels for equipment and communications uptime

• Maintain Support tickets within defined SLA’s

• Maintain business relationships with various communication business partners

• Other duties as requested by the manager

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS or equivalent work experience

• 1-2 years of previous IT experience

• Knowledge of the 7 layers of the OSI model

• CLI and ServiceNow Experience Preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE Certifications or Experience Preferred

• Current knowledge of communications cabling standards

• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50lbs regularly

• Ability to perform all physical aspects, including but not limited to bending, lifting, squatting, and climbing

• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude

• Ability to function as a team member but able to work with little or no supervision
