The Store Support Business Analyst works primarily with the Support Desk to provide ongoing learning opportunities and support on functional store related issues. This position manages all new and existing store-related knowledge and documentation to ensure it is added to a centralized knowledge base for future access by Support Desks Analyst, and is reviewed periodically for accuracy and relevancy. The position will also work to acquire progressive training of both a functional and technical nature on all store systems; provides continuous functional and technical training of Support Desk on all store systems; provides ongoing functional and technical analysis of functional-related incidents; and develops and maintains functional QA testing for all store systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure department label compliance and design changes are implemented in a timely fashion
Functional support for store systems and applications.
Progressive functional and technical training on all store systems.
Progressive training of the Support Desk on all store systems.
Store incident analysis to determine problem trends as well as training needs.
Development and maintenance of Quality Assurance (QA) testing script to help ensure patches and/or store system updates do not adversely affect production systems.
Management of all store lab systems.
Manage all new and existing store-related knowledge and documentation to ensure it is added to a centralized knowledge base.
Consistently train Level 1 Support Desk Analysts on assigned systems to ensure each team member in the Support Desk has equal knowledge and understanding of those systems.
Strive to gain relevant experience and knowledge through formal training programs and certifications that will boost understanding and ability to support assigned systems.
Lead new POS related initiatives in the stores.
Key Requirements:
At least 1 year of exemplary work experience as a Level 1 Support Desk Analyst for United Supermarkets OR equivalent store experience
Demonstrated satisfactory experience working with United Supermarkets’ POS systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Self motivated with a strong work ethic
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
Some overnight travel required.
