Key Requirements:
- Perform complete company policy and procedure audits of assigned stores to include: cash counts, money handling and check stand procedures, daily sales reporting, coupon handling, deposit and banking procedures, record retention, time card and payroll procedures, returned checks, accounts receivable, transmitting and balancing procedures and FTC compliance
- Perform follow-up audits and training programs in all problem stores
- Work with General Managers and key people to enforce company policy and procedure while establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all store and regional personnel
- Assist the Asset Protection department with investigations as needed
- Assist in training of store bookkeepers
- Ensure continuing uniformity, accuracy and professionalism on the part of all Managers and bookkeepers
- Assists General Managers and store bookkeepers in setting up new store records and procedures and with store closings, final check-ups and dispersals of record
- Work with store to improve operational efficienciesOther duties as assigned by supervisorKey Responsibilities:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a bookkeeper or accounting experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- General understanding of debits and credits
- Experience with data entry and 10 key
- Knowledge of AS400 and Lotus Notes preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
- Excellent organizational skills
- 50% travel required, including some overnight travel
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
