Bistro Attendant
Full Time Days
** Pay rate up to $16.40/hour; based on experience**
United Methodist Communities in Camden County, a 5-Star full-service senior living community that is a model in person-centered care community, located in beautiful Collingswood, NJ is seeking a Bistro Attendant.
Requirements for a Bistro Attendant:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1-year related experience.
Responsibilities for a Bistro Attendant:
- Providing security for all shop items and cash. Record sales, collect money, operate cash register. Total and summarize funds received, endorse checks, prepare bank deposits, verify cash at the beginning of shift. Assist in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions. Make change and supply receipts or tickets to customers.
- Set up and stock products/supplies. Arrange and maintain coffee bar and cart supplies in a neat and sanitary manner. Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables. Ensure the acceptable appearance of the dining area by cleaning the dining area after meals.
- Keep records and requisition for supplies/equipment. Keep shelves/racks stocked and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
- Properly store food. Estimate food requirements. Utilize knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage. Read recipes and/or product directions. Operate a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foods for cooking, serving and storing.
