Job Summary:The DC Warehouse Lead will be responsible for assisting the supervisor and making sure all functions of the warehouse are completed. Assign work to warehouse associates to make certain company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met. Assists in departmental shift activities within the distribution center in accordance with company policies and procedures. Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
Plan, assign and distribute work assignments to associates so that financial goals are met or exceeded. Monitors completion of job assignments.
Report defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action in a timely manner.
Manage warehouse associate responsibilities as needed including loading and unloading, forklift operation, product relocation, etc.
Handle and document daily inspections including equipment inspections and inbound/outbound trailer inspections.
Check inbound/outbound shipments for compliance, and report quantity difference and quality issues where applicable.
Maintain communication with Traffic and Customer Service.
Coach and provide feedback to warehouse associates.
Perform assigned projects as instructed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year previous experience in a Lead capacity within a Distribution Center strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of general Distribution Center operations is required.
Demonstrable leadership ability required.
Previous Warehouse Management System (WMS) and PC knowledge and ability required.
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills required.
Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace including walking, bending and lifting within a Distribution Center environment required.
