Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with patients to help them recover from injuries, surgeries, and illnesses, and to improve their overall physical well-being. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients' conditions, developing customized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic exercises and techniques to promote mobility, reduce pain, and enhance functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, including reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and evaluating mobility and range of motion.
Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs, goals, and abilities. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
Therapeutic Interventions: Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and specialized modalities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for performing exercises and activities, as well as strategies for preventing future injuries or setbacks. Provide guidance on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports. Communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and professional conduct. Stay informed about current trends and advancements in the field of physical therapy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in FL.
- CPR certification.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
