Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Tucson, AZ 85719
Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: 13 weeks
Pay: $60 to $65 hourly on W2
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for a temporary assignment in Tucson, AZ. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures including but not limited to bone scans, thyroid scans, cardiac studies, and PET scans.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications as directed by the physician.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists and physicians.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Stay updated on advances in nuclear medicine technology and techniques through continuing education and training.
- Provide exceptional patient care and support, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and respect at all times.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) credential or eligible for certification.
- Current licensure or certification as required by the state of Arizona.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
- Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and associated software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced and dynamic work environments.
- BLS certification required.
