About the Job: - Provides management and guidance working with the client engineering team, plant personnel and other stakeholders on an EPC scope.- Layout an EPC schedule (P6), moving from feasibility study to project.- Often working under the supervision of Project Director or above, demonstrates and provides project leadership in their area of responsibility.- Monitors day-to-day activities and consistently demonstrates the ability to proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.- Demonstrates knowledge of resources and capabilities of other Groups for appropriate incorporation into project organization.- Clearly understands the scope of work and contract requirements or those requirements that pertain to his/her area of responsibility.- Supports or conducts formal status reporting and presentations to client and/or management.- Candidate will be working as part of a team of Engineers, Designers, and Plant Stakeholders at the McGuire Nuclear Station with occasional trips to Catawba Station.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree and experience managing projects using Project Management Institute (PMI) Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) project methodologies, including Project Integration, Scope, Scheduling, Cost, Quality, Resource, Communications, Procurement, Risk and Stakeholder Management.- 10 years engineering, operations/maintenance, and/or construction experience.- 5 years of experience relating to design or operation of commercial Nuclear Power Plants.- 2 years of experience working on major equipment modifications.- Familiarity with the nuclear Standard Design Process (SDP), and experience preparing engineering drawings.- Proficient in using P6.Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience with Nuclear Project Management.- Has a record of proven performance as Project Manager on previous project(s).- Power Uprate Project experience.- Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access at a nuclear power plant- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
