Position Title: Quality Control Manager

Location: Portland, OR

Salary: $90,000 to $150,000

Overview:
The Quality Control Manager will oversee technical operations across 8 plants, managing a production capacity of over 400,000 yards. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and performance of ready-mix concrete, with a focus on high-performance and specification-grade concrete.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in Quality Control within the ready-mix concrete industry.
• Proficiency in handling high-performance and specification concrete.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Experience in mix designs and optimization techniques to enhance product quality and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control protocols across all plants to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• High-Performance Concrete: Lead efforts to develop and produce high-performance concrete mixes, meeting stringent performance criteria and specifications.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with plant managers, production teams, and sales personnel to address technical issues, optimize mix designs, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Mix Design Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize mix designs to improve concrete performance, durability, and sustainability.
• Training and Development: Provide training and support to plant personnel on quality control procedures, mix design techniques, and best practices.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to concrete production, ensuring compliance across all operations.
• Research and Development: Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to explore innovative materials and technologies for improving concrete performance and sustainability.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the performance of technical services, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
