POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Warehouse Processing team, you will have the important job of receiving grocery and general merchandise, sorting and organizing products, unloading and loading trucks, pricing merchandise and more to send to our member share grocery program to support our program initiatives and service our members in need. On a daily basis you will be expected to meet daily quotas, follow established processes, be efficient in your work, and report concerns including safety concerns to your manager.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Receiving and sorting grocery and general merchandise. Assisting with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Following established policies, procedures and processing workflows, maintaining quality control standards of incoming items and pricing items per UAP guidelines.
  • Ensuring a clean/clutter free work environment at all times.
  • Following all aspects of safety guidelines ensuring all issues are corrected or communicated to Management.
  • Practicing a team approach for maximum productivity to ensure optimal processing timelines.
  • Following company standard safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure the facility is properly maintained.
  • Consistently following all health and safety guidelines and regulations. Reporting safety concerns if they arise.
  • Complying with Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, State and Federal regulations for cleanliness and upkeep of the food storage areas.
  • Regularly communicate, collaborate and cooperate with coworkers, warehouse supervisors and volunteers.
  • Assisting with all other warehouse and MSGP department projects as needed.

ESSENTIALS THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse processor position is preferred.
  • Positive attitude, even in the face of adversity.
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with others. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • One-year experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift, including holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pallet jack and forklift certifications. PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS Must be able to stand, walk and move around for long periods of time. Must be able to push, pull, bend and lift up to 25lbs without assistance. Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions in open air warehouse environment (including high heat).
