United Against Poverty is Hiring a "Going UP" Bus Coordinator Near Vero Beach, FL

POSITION SUMMARY

The Going Up Bus Coordinator position is responsible for scheduling pick ups and drop offs in the United Against Poverty’s 15 passenger “Going UP Bus”. The Coordinator will be responsible for building relationships with nonprofit partners across Indian River County who serve adults and families that can benefit from United Against Poverty’s programs and building out a weekly schedule for the Going UP Bus. This role will also be responsible for the driving of the Going UP Bus. The vision for the Going UP Bus is to knock down transportation barriers and provide access to the UP Center in Vero Beach for the population that can greatly benefit from UP’s programs. It will be a unifying resource between the UP Center and our community.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

· Reaching out to all nonprofits and community organizations in Indian River County to build relationships and partnerships to support their mission with the use of United Against Poverty’s Going UP Bus.

· Transporting adults to/from the UP Center to participate in the organization’s programs. The route zone will be Indian River County.

· Working closely with Program’s staff and UP community partners to develop a robust monthly pick-up/drop-off schedule.

· Tracking and entering key impact data for usage of the Going UP Bus.

· Partnering with Director of Marketing to identify and share powerful success stories of the Going UP Bus’s impact on the community.

· Maintaining accurate travel logs.

· Advising management of all vehicle issues, equipment requiring repair and any other conditions that would impact safe and timely transportation.

· Ensuring the vehicle interior is clean and disinfected each day.

· Maintaining the external appearance of the vehicle to best represent the UAP organization.

· Other duties as required.

ESSENTIALS THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

· Clean driving record and State of Florida Driver’s License.

· Ability to work well and collaborate with others.

· Positive attitude even in the face of adversity.

· Excellent communicator and relationship-builder.

· Familiarity with the Indian River County roads and community.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Clean driving record, current Florida driver’s license and proof of insurance required.

· High school diploma or GED required.

PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and move frequently throughout the day. Must be able to push, pull, bend, and lift up 25lbs unassisted.

Must be able to go up and down stairs throughout the day.

Must be able to walk for short distances.

Must be able to reach throughout the day.
