The Direct Support Professional Supervisor provides services to adults with intellectual/ developmental disabilities. Working under the direction of the Program Coordinator as they oversee and direct services that enrich the lives of individuals. Direct Support Professional Supervisors oversee the overall operations of the program ensuring compliance with state and OPWDD regulations as well as agency policies and procedures. Direct Support Professional Supervisors will train and supervise direct support staff to ensure quality delivery of services, including personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, and health maintenance.

Direct Support Professional Supervisors ensure all programming needs are met including scheduling, staff development and physical plant. Direct Support Professional Supervisors ensure the program budget is maintained and ensure timely billing, staff payroll processing and appropriate utilization of individual and agency funds.

• Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, guidance and counseling or other related human services field from an accredited program with one year experience in the field and at least six months supervisory experience in the field.
• Associate’s Degree in education, social work, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, guidance and counseling or other related human services field from an accredited program with two years’ experience in the field and at least one year supervisory experience in any field
• Highschool Diploma or GED with five years’ experience in the field and at least two years’ supervisory experience in any field
• Knowledge of Home and Community Based waiver, and the ability to keep up to date pertaining to such knowledge and interpret same.
  Knowledge of Person-Centered Planning.
• Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with program participants, families, staff, and community agencies.
